Thinking about Plain Packaging Boxes & Candy Packaging Supplies

"It's the very same old tissue, honey, it does not make a difference, ok? It's still going to work the same method", my exasperated spouse hissed into my ear as I grabbed containers after containers of some 'designer' tissue. DESIGNER TISSUE! Hah, can you even hear me say that? I can't think I in fact wrote 'designer tissue'. Yes, for a graphic designer and writer who understands all about the kind of effort one puts into packaging and branding items, I sure fell for it. All the hoopla. The shenanigans. The 'suck 'em in with excellent copy and fab color combo'. Hey, I am still a customer, keep in mind that. I am entitled to succumb to good product packaging, I have a dominating right to be human.

However they are so quite ... the packaging. I swear!

They have the 'nature lover' product packaging, the 'fruity' product packaging, the 'lady on the go' packaging, and then they have the 'kids' product packaging. I grabbed 4 of each design plans and made a run for the counter with them with my yelling kids and exasperated husband running after me in sluggish motion.

Well, in this case, I was running for checkout with boxes of tissue paper with elegant product packaging designs on them. I enjoyed the packaging creates so much, after using up all the tissues in the boxes, I would cut out the styles and place it into my 'should keep for referral' clear folder. I check here don't keep a lot of things in there because I am quite selective about the styles that I like, but these product packaging designs made the cut.

You see, this is the kind of thing that occurs when you put some effort into making your product packaging style. Yeah, we all have this in the back of our heads ... "Hey, it's PACKAGING! They're going to THROW the PACKAGING away.

This is what I have to tell you, as a graphic designer and consumer. The more effort you put into developing your product packaging, more consumers will take a look and stop at your packaging or what's inside the packaging. Now, does it make sense for me to say now that when they stop and take notice of your packaging, your opportunity of getting them to purchase your item increases? Exactly.

And without an electrifying product packaging, consumers are going to stroll past the stacks and stacks of other competitor products ... and yours ... without even understanding you're there! Your item is sitting there on a shelf, for goodness sake, and the only weapon you have is to have a great packaging machine design.

Consider it!
